Direct Client Duration: 6 months Location: San Diego Bill Rate: Title: SAP Solution Architect Description: The SAP Solution Architect for Utilities Industry and Enterprise Asset Management is responsible for consulting with existing clients to identify, develop and deliver solutions that drive significant efficiencies and improvements to their business utilizing our customer’s investment in SAP. Also identify/qualify business development opportunities with new customers. The SAP Solution Architect will provide subject matter expertise in the Utilities Industry (IS-U) for, electricity, natural gas, water and sewage. With specific expertise in SAP Linear Asset Management, SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities, SAP Portfolio and Project Management, SAP Multi-Resource Scheduling, SAP Mobile Platform, SAP Document Access by OpenText, SAP HANA. Role Specific Business Planning and General Management • Take ownership of the solution offering • Develop and execute a solution strategy and business plan that supports growth • Shape, design, and plan specific service lines for solution • Spearhead product marketing and product development Subject Matter Expertise • Act as visionary and strategist for Utilities Industry and Asset Management • Survey market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods • Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation, • Work with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation • Speak at trade conferences and seek authorship opportunities in trade publications Business Development • Help business development life cycle by serving as a product SME to help identify and qualify business development opportunities • Manages sales and marketing activities for the service offering • Develop and maintain vendor relationships within the Utilities Industry • Provide end to end solution and design details Work Force Management, Supervision and Mentoring • Manage a team of direct reports who drive service lines in the Utilities Industry and Asset Management • Assist staffing coordinators who define project team requirements for projects in solution area • Work with Delivery Service Director to define overall recruiting needs and expertise in Utilities Industry and Asset Management • Work with Delivery Service Director to establish professional development needs for practitioners in solution area • Mentor and guide more junior technical resources • Communicate the overall project status to the senior management Methodology and Quality Assurance • Lead development of formalized solution methodologies • Build and maintain repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents • Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources. Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts • Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within the solution area • Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area • Write, or direct the writing of white papers that add further insight and thought in the solution area ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED • 12+ Years SAP implementations and / or Application Maintenance Support experience in the Utilities Industry and Asset Management with strong foundation in SAP Plant Maintenance • 4 Full life Cycle SAP Implementation experience in a Lead role covering SAP ISU/CCS and SAP EAM, LAM with SAP Mobility Solutions. • Extreme communication and organizational skills • Comprehensive SAP Utilities Industry Product knowledge with expertise (SAP ISU/CCS , SAP Linear Asset Management with mobility solution & GEO / GIS, SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities, SAP Portfolio and Project Management, SAP Multi-Resource Scheduling, SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence, SAP Business Plan and Consolidation, Master Data Governance: EAM) • Comprehensive SAP product knowledge (ECC, HCM, CRM, SCM, PI/PO, PLM, BI/BO, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Netweaver Suite, SAP HANA, SAP Document Access by OpenText, SAP Mobile Platform, SAP Visual Enterprise, etc.). • Ensures the primary goals of our customers: to generate business value are promoted, In-depth knowledge of customer’s businesses, functions with all relevant stakeholders to successfully drive decisions and recommendations.
