Direct Client Role: Network Support Engineers (2) Location: Plano, TX Duration: 8 months Rate: $40/hr all inc. MAX Overview: Looking for 2 consultants to assist in the support of client data center support. In particular they will help the client in the overall management of the a large data center, documenting HW Inventories, maintaining the Inventory database and utilizing network discovery tools for Inventory Control. Requirements: • 1-2 years of experience with network hardware • Knowledge of servers, virtualization concepts, access controls • Debugging experience • Understading of network basics such as VLANS, firewalls, storage concepts and common OS’s • Certificate installs • Experience with databases from a user aspect • SQL Server or Oracle • Experience with Universal Discovery tools , IE uCMDB, ADDM, SCCM • Basic scripting—perl, java, shell, powershell etc. • ITIL working conceptual knowledge from a participatory aspect • Change Management • Event Management • Incident Management • Problem Management • Request Fulfillment • Release / Deployment Management Zones Requirements: • Possesses an understanding, at a detailed level, of architectural dependencies of technologies in use in the customer’s IT environment. • Able to communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrate the professionalism of the job family. • Ability to work in a multi- technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems to their root cause. In addition to troubleshooting skills and consulting skills, has ability to summarize prognosis and impact at practice lead level. Ability to adapt a consulting style appropriate to the situation and can identify up-sell opportunities. • Able to independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables.
