*Job Title: QA Architect* *Location: San Francisco* *Duration: 6 months with possible extension or conversion* *Phone Interviews* This is a senior role on the Sr. Leadership Team. Must have strong leadership skills but be a hands on contributor Must understand QA strategies, applications, business risks, tools framework. Someone to look at Automation strategies and frameworks and be able to give recommendations on updating existing systems. Work to be done more on the EDI layer not on UI. *Overview*: Reporting to Director of Quality Engineering, the Quality Engineering Architect is a key leadership position at macys.com and is responsible for providing the overall technical leadership and strategic direction for automated testing in the organization. The QE Architect’s primary focus is on long-term improvement of the organization testing process and growth. The ideal candidate should be passionate about owning the design & development of the test automation strategy, tools and technologies needed to support Quality Engineering goals and initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Designs and develops test infrastructure, test automation framework and test automation standards • Ensures Test Automation Framework design is modular, easy to maintain, reusable and leveraged across multiple projects to maximize the value of the test automation suite • Drives quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across an entire engineering team • Maintains a “big and complete” picture view of our products, dependencies, organizational goals, technologies in order to help QE organization with test planning and test coverage • Research, provide POC (Proof of Concept), and comparison matrix of testing tools to enhance the efficiency of Quality Engineering processes • Pro-actively seeks to make continuous improvements to test coverage, execution and automation • Works with developers to determine root causes for quality issues and identifies long term solutions • Analyze defect patterns across entire product and drive test initiatives to resolve these or prevent them in the future • Drive improved test coverage across products • Design and develop test tools that allow our QE team to scale to support delivery of new features • Conduct and schedule regular training to ensure all members of Quality Engineering team stay current on testing tools, technologies, processes, and standards • Assess and review test cases and test scripts creation process to ensure standards are followed • Work with CI and Release Engineering team on integration of automated test scripts in the delivery pipelines • Research and suggest improved methods & metrics for test effectiveness and to achieve higher product quality • Aligns with the application architect to help determine what the next automated components and test assets should be in order to better manage the overlying test framework and promote use of reusable automated assets whenever possible • Analyze current processes and test practices used in Development and QA teams and drive improvements *Skills Summary*: • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related degree/experience • 8+ years of hands-on test automation experience, in a professional software development environment • In-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies • Excellent coding skills and an ability to learn/advance rapidly, transitioning from Java or other programming languages • Solid scripting skills with experience in an advanced scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby) • Hands on experience with automated frameworks/tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Jasmine, etc.) • Extensive experience creating test frameworks for large-scale distributed systems • Knowledge on using various code quality tools (e.g. SONAR, Coverity) • Experience with web services and APIs and understanding of automated testing for web based API • Demonstrated experience working with full product development life-cycles, preferably experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment • Expertise with version control tools and agile tools (e.g., Git, VersionOne, JIRA, etc.) • Strong technical aptitude in application development and data management with proven understanding of content management systems, web services, ETL development, business intelligence systems • A solid understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous deployment both in principle and in practice • Strong knowledge of test technologies, applications, standards, and test development processes • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to see the big picture and develop appropriate strategies and plans for execution • Highly organized, flexible and able to structure and estimate work • Should have excellent people skills and is comfortable communicating with senior leadership team and large groups of people • Knowledge and/or experience in retail eCommerce industry a plus *Regards,* *Kuldeep Yadav* *Technical recruiter* *Net**2**Source Inc.* *kuldeep.ya...@net2source.com <kuldeep.ya...@net2source.com>* *Gtalk&Yahoo:: kd.intime* *Direct ::2014792783* *Tel: (201) 340.8700 x 4**52**|* *Fax: (201) 685.8135* *Address: 15 Exchange Place, Suite # 500, Jersey City, NJ - 07302* *Website:* www.net2source.com *Microsoft Gold Certified Partner **|** Cisco Certified Premier Partner **|** Oracle Gold Partner** | **IBM Business Partner** | **ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company** | **NASSCOM Certified Company **| **E-Verified* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
