*The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Designer is part of IT and is
responsible for understanding the technical setup and configuration between
SAP and Open Text,* archive and content servers.  This role is also
responsible for design and analysis related to process, data or
information, validating business requirements and translating business
requirements into cohesive, integrated designs and software development
specifications, writing and execution of test scenarios and scripts, and
ensuring risks are mitigated or eliminated prior to deployment.  This
position also considers integration of designs within and across the
overall ECM design, following principles established to ensure proper
re-use and design consistency.  This position communicates within and
across design teams, software development teams, security, and business
partners to meet design requirements.  Lastly, all designers are
responsible for delivering quality designs that meet both functional and
technical requirements.



The ECM Design team is tasked with the enablement of enterprise content
management solutions that involve document management, imaging, records
management, archiving, and application decommissioning.  This role is for
the Enterprise Content Management ECM Designer who will be responsible for
designing and implementing SAP and non-SAP related ECM solutions as part of
our global deployment of Open Text.  This resource will work closely with
RIM subject matter experts and across various process teams within SAP
Deployment, Global IT, and TGRC.  Other work areas could include Data
Archiving and Application Decommissioning.



Principal Accountability:

•             10% - Requirements Gathering

•             Review and interpret business requirements across the design
utilizing the following methodologies:

o             Existing documentation

o             Requirements workshops

o             Interviews with relevant stakeholders

o             Best Practice knowledge and research

o             Laws and regulations



•             10% - Requirements Analysis

•             Analyze business requirements to determine if the requirement
is related to:

o             Needs vs. Wants

o             Fit vs. Gap with the technology enablement

o             Recommend solutions that align effort with the business value



•             55% - Design Process/Data/Information Flow Based On
Identified Requirements

•             Areas of potential focus are:

o             *SAP integration to Open Text*

*o             SAP Archiving*

*o             Application Decommissioning*

o             Document and enable business requirements through Process,
data, or information functional designs.

o             Translating business requirements into business process and
systems design.

o             Supporting BU data conversion and validation requirements, as
necessary.

o             Identify risks and design controls to mitigate or eliminate
risks.

o             Communicate designs within the design team and with other
stakeholders such as security, RIM, and offshore teams.

o             Work with SAP Deployment resources and ECM L2 team to ensure
that systems (SAP and Open Text) integrations are working.

o             Work with SAP Deployment on WIDM requests and understand
their enhancement process.

o             Work with the Project Delivery Lead and Project Manager to
ensure project challenges and risks are known so that solutions are
delivered on time, meeting the expected business requirements.

o             Assist Solution Architects in assessing requests for solution
enhancements from end users, internal clients, or other project teams as
they are escalated.

o             Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve production issues if
escalated to the project team.



•             20% - Testing

o             Develop and execute complex testing cases and scripts
following quality management policies, procedures, and testing-related
guidelines.

o             Proactively identify issues and risks.

o             Assist with User Acceptance Testing, as required.



•             5% - Training Content Development

o             Develop content for training materials based on designs,
partnering with the Change, Communications, and Training team where needed.

o             Review training materials.

o             Deliver/support training of Super Users and BU users as needed

o             Support “go live/hypercare” activities, including remedial
training (if necessary), solution break/fix tasks and miscellaneous
trouble-shooting



*Required Qualifications*

•             Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

•             SAP technical experience.

•             7 + years relevant business experience.

•             Business fluency in English.

•             Ability to deliver and drive multiple parallel deliverables.

•             Demonstrated effective organization and documentation skills.

•             Knowledge of a process, data, or information.

•             Demonstrated ability to be successful in ambiguous
environments.

•             Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
including the ability to break down complex issues.

•             Able to make decisions independently and apply solid judgment
within scope or boundaries.

•             Strong collaboration and influencing skills.

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•             Experience facilitating meetings and/or group discussions.

•             Strong information research and gathering skills.



Preferred Qualifications

•             Knowledge of OpenText xECM.

•             Past project management experience.

•             Experience with or design of enterprise information
architectures.

•             Past experience working with a global team.

•             Work experiences across multiple lines of businesses.

•             Experience leading integrated design validation sessions and
confirming business requirements.

•             Able to teach project and/or other support team resources
about specific application functionality either through formal or informal
training.

•             Experience with Enterprise Content Management systems.

•             Technology enabled document retention policies.

•             Familiarity with technical requirements and system
configuration.
