Hope you are doing well! *Please find the position below and let me know your availability with the updated copy of resume.* *UNIX & Imaging Infrastructure* *150 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007* *2+ Years Contract* *PROJECT DESCRIPTION:* UNIX and Imaging Infrastructure Project within the Office of Enterprise Network provides solutions for continuing maintenance and enhancements of computer services provided such as the Paperless Office / Food Stamps - POS, MODEL OFFICE \ Centers, Edits, Factors, FileNet Imaging, Print to Mail and many other vital systems. *Tasks & Duties* • Develop system design specification. • Develop and prepare document for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches for projects that run on Agency's Enterprise Area Network (SAN). • Develop specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations. • Develop structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs. • Develop, compile, maintain and document configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems. • Develop system documentation. • Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software. • Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems. • Develop detailed systems designs as it pertains to the full view of project usage from server to storage platform. • Perform System Design/Coding. • Work with MIS staff (e.g. managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program code implementation, enhancements and changes. • Create, test and maintain program code. • Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms. • Provide assistance to MIS technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves. • Occasionally contact customers as needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem. • Provide general programming assistance to other MIS programmers/projects as needed. • Perform Testing/Evaluation. • Responsible for management tools used to control fibre channel switches and Storage Area Network (SAN) fabrics. • Develop, implement, and monitor information technology quality assurance standards. • PerformSAN space allocation and SANtrouble shooting. *Required Skills* • Minimum 8 Years High level experience administering SUN Operating System environment on high end and mid-range servers in a multi-platform environment. • Minimum 8 Years Experience with UNIX programming. • Minimum 8 Years Experience designing Active Directory based security. • Minimum 8 Years Experience designing telecommunications systems. • Minimum 8 Years Experience with SAN and Fibre Switch software. • Minimum 8 Years Experience administering Hitachi SAN hardware. • Minimum 8 Years Experience with Software Raid tools. *Thanks* *Amanpreet Singh * *Direct:* 408 216 8035 *Fax: *703-722-6628 *Email:* asi...@elegantsolutions.us *Elegant Enterprise-Wide Solutions, Inc * We Participate in E-Verify An SBA 8(a), ISO 9001:2008 Company *Prime on GSA Schedule 70, 8(a) STARS II, eFAST, Seaport-e & many State/Local Contracts *http://www.elegantsolutions.us -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
