*Role: Enterprise Architect Location: Portland, ME Duration:- 6+ Months* *Job description:-* Essential Skills: • Demonstrates an understanding of strategic issues, and is an authority on the systems development life-cycle and typical problems associated with the implementation of information systems, from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support. • Has detailed practical knowledge of the organization’s IT infrastructure and software development and maintenance methods, tools and techniques. • Has a sound knowledge of risk assessment, change management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods and the use of metrics. Is skilled in project risk management. • Can effectively articulate the architecture to technical and business audiences • Communicates persuasively and effectively to business and technical audiences • Combines strong technical competence with business and commercial awareness and first-class communications skills. • Ultimately responsible for the correct implementation across the enterprise of Architectural standards definition, compliance and governance • Collaborates with multiple business and Technical stakeholders to create, maintain and iteratively implement a sustainable and future-proof set of Technology Roadmaps. • Collaborates with Chief Product owners and Business Strategy Consultants to align business and technology strategies, and ensure realisation of business capabilities through Enterprise Architecture. • Collaborate with Architects across the Enterprise to ensure standardised, efficient, high quality, architecturally sound tactical implementations of technology roadmaps • Co-ordinates or participates in tool and technology selection, risk assessments and sunsetting in conjunction with technical and business stakeholders • Leads assessment of external technology solutions and services ensuring consistency with existing business needs and architectural sustainability • Ensures that Enterprise Architecture is operational, agile and measurable and is operable within the context of Continuous Build and Deploy, for both internal and external implementers. • Co-ordinates the identification and assessment of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies, products, methods and techniques. Evaluates likely relevance of these for the organization. Provides regular briefings and communications to Leadership, Management and Staff. • Recognizes potential strategic application of IT, and initiates investigation and development of innovative methods of exploiting IT assets, to the benefit of organizations and the community. Plays a leading role in improving the interaction and understanding between the business and IT. • Champions Architecture, Technology and Innovation across the Enterprise through various modes of communication, with particular focus on the Development Community.
