Unix System Admin with Amazon Expertise
A leading provider of IT Managed Services is looking for a Systems Admin to
provide service to its clients in the Alexandria, VA area. This is a great
opportunity for a self-motivated professional with a proven track record to
develop, implement, and support various initiatives in the area of IT Ops
and Dev Ops. Because of the very wide breadth of systems that will be
configured, supported and maintained, the ideal candidate must have a wide
knowledge base including, Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront,
CloudWatch), UNIX like/FreeBSD Servers, basic networking and ability to
support custom applications.
*Required Experience:*
• At least 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux/FreeBSD
Administration
• At least 5 years of experience in general Network & System
Administration
• At least 2 years of experience in Amazon Web Services
management
*Required Skills:*
• Strong knowledge of UNIX like operating systems. FreeBSD
experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of networking and networking protocols.
Ability to use various network troubleshooting tools
• Strong knowledge of virtual environments
• Ability to manage Amazon Web Services deployments
• Ability to write shell scripts. Knowledge of Ruby preferred
• Ability to manage MySQL database and run queries
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Chef preferred
• Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
• Ability to quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems
(research skills)
• Knowledge of security practices (PCI-DSS)
• Ability to follow change controls and security procedures
This is a Full Time position in IT support. As such, some of the
support we do is scheduled afterhours and sometimes emergency after hours
support is required. There will be some opportunity to work from home.

Participate in low level design doc with TL/Architect.
CQ5 Hands on Technical lead / Sr Developer
Conduct system analysis and development with limited support from TL/
Architect.
Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task
specifications for junior programmers.
Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance,
diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions
to problematic programming.
Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
Analyze, design, coordinate and supervise the development of software
systems to achieve the project deliverables.
Strong and effective inter--personal and communication skills and the
ability to interact professionally with clients and project team.
Provide assistance to testers and support them as needed to determine
system problems.
Conduct unit testing and system integration testing.
Participate in regression testing and UAT.
Supports the applications after project go live
*Essential Skills : *
Working knowledge of CQ5 Templates, Components, Bundles, Workflow, Forms,
Campaigns, Mobile pages, Newsletters & Reports, CQ Personalization, DAM &
Customization
Total IT experience – 8 +years
CQ5 Experience – 4 + years
Hands-on experience in web/internet technologies including: Java, J2EE,
HTML, XML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, XSLT, AJAX, Web analytics, CSS, SQL,
Linux, JBoss, Websphere, Apache, web services, middleware and open source
packages/libraries. eCommerce platforms and Web Content Management
platform are required.
Good understanding of Digital Experience, Content Management, & eMarketing
technologies.
Experience with web/internet technologies including: Java, J2EE, HTML,
XML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL,
Knowledge of SOA using SOAP and REST APIs and eCommerce platforms like
Hybris a plus
Very good organization, verbal / written communication.
