We are a global staffing, consulting and technology solutions company, offering industry-specific solutions to our fortune clients and worldwide corporations. *Position : Security Engineer* *Location : Jersey City, NJ* *Duration : 6 Months Plus* *Job Responsibilities : * Work closely with Verisk’s Global Security Services team to enforce and help define security policies that follow Verisk enterprise standards and VIS customer requirements Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information Identify and define system and application security requirements Design system security architecture and develop detailed security designs Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks Modernize legacy systems and solutions where possible Develop and maintain documentation and scripts that increase security and efficiency - Work with development teams to ensure IT support and standards maintenance by integrating with SDLC and testing for known vulnerabilities (OWASP) Work with Verisk’s Global Security Services team to respond to customer security audits and perform annual external pen tests Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by working with IT, development, and business team members *Preferred qualifications : * BS Degree in a related field or 4 years equivalent experience, plus… Minimum of five years’ experience as a mid-to-senior-level Security Engineer in a corporate environment Proven experience working with platform monitoring tools, Linux and Microsoft environments, log management, and security solutions Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols Excellent troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills (both verbal and written) Attention to detail and a drive to always make things better *Experience with the following is a BIG plus : * Cassandra, Hadoop, SOLR, Spark and other big data technologies WSO2 NGINX Microsoft Server, SQL, .Net Atlassian Suite Cloud IaaS and PaaS solutions from Azure and/or AWS Recent automation experience with Puppet / Chef / Salt Experience configuring and deploying platform management and monitoring tools Familiarity with the challenges of working with teams across multiple time zones Windows Domain integration projects Management of IT projects (either Thanks & Regards Ron HMG America LLC Ph: +1 (732) 645 1718 E: r...@hmgamerica.com W: www.hmgamerica.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
