*Description:*
Our client, looking for a Developer to assist in providing
web based tools to support their independent agents and internal customers.
This Developer will be experienced in the Java technologies.
*Responsibilities:*
- Develop and maintain new web based functionality to support our
business processes.
- Follow an Agile Development methodology to deliver functionality in an
iterative fashion
- Design, develop and unit test functionality using Java 7, Gosu,
IntelliJ, TeamCity, and SVN.
*Required Skills:*
- A bachelors degree in computer science or management information
systems from an accredited four-year college or university
- Two or more years of experience programming web applications using Java
- Experience developing and integrating web services
- Experience with using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and JSON
- Two or more years of experience using SQL
- Experience making positive contributions in a team environment
- A diligent work ethic and the discipline to prioritize and manage
multiple tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
*Preferred Skills:*
- Experience with the Guidewire Integration development
- Experience with developing forms and correspondence using the
Thunderhead print engine
- Experience with EMC products Documentum and Captiva
- Experience with IntelliJ IDE, SVN and SQL Server 2012
- Insurance industry application development experience
Experience working on an agile development team
