*Role – Distributed Developer*
*Role Description:*
The Distributed Developer project contractor will need to have 5-7 years of
experience. He/she will have Java and JEE server-side development skills
with an understanding of Web Services architecture and design.
*Key Responsibilities*
· Transform business requirements, use case requirements and/or
technical specifications into detailed design
· Perform analysis, code new programs, modify existing programs,
testing and documentation
· Construct code to achieve requested software design functionality
based on established development standards
· Ensure source code integrity by maintaining version control and
archiving supporting artifacts
· Develop communication materials for design/code reviews and
working sessions
· Work with users in the definition of new systems or enhancements
to existing systems
· Follow and contribute to KFB documented processes like SDLC,
programming standards, patch documentation, production review process,
technical assurance review process, and design review process
*Required Skills*
· Experience with one of the following application servers:
WebSphere, WebLogic
· Experience in Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, RAD, BPM/Workflow, and
Web Services (Restful or SOAP) is a plus as well as a firm grasp of
architecture using the required tools/languages.
· Experience gathering user requirements, writing design documents,
participating in JAD sessions and writing/executing unit and system tests
· Experience in Java, JavaScript, JEE, JDBC, JSP, HTML and XML
· Experience in SOA and Enterprise Integration Patterns
· Proficient in development of code utilizing SQL Server along with
working with DBA to improve SQL Server processes like helping manage
Relational Integrity, Index Tuning, and Stored Procedure creation
· Working knowledge of distributed test and production code
deployments, e.g. CVS, EAR
· Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
· Strong sense of ownership and commitment
· Demonstrated skills in understanding complete application systems
· Demonstrated leadership skills and supportive attitude
· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and multi-task
to meet deadlines
*Preferred Skills*
· Experience with Property and Casualty insurance - Policy and/or
Claims Processing
· Experience with Guidewire applications
*Deliverables*
