*Position * *Cognos Developer* *Location* *San Diego, CA – LOCAL CANDIDATES* *Job Type* *CONTRACT* *Start Date * Immediate & URGENT *Job Description* *Responsibilities: * The ideal individual will have 8-10 years of industry experience, with focus on a Cognos 10.2 enterprise-wide Business Intelligence tools - Framework Manager, Reports Studio, Workspace Advanced, Analysis Studio, Cognos Insight and Transformer Cubes. Drive to implement new features like workspace, active reports and self-service via Insight. Analyze requirements, design solutions and deliver solutions in combination with data warehouse/ETL architects and developers. Candidates are expected to have experience in the full lifecycle of implementation - Modeling using Cognos Framework Manager - Dimensional Modeling using Cognos Transformer Design, Build and Automate the Cube Build Process) - Dynamic Cubes - Report Studio and Analytical Studio Experience - Workspace / Workspace advanced - MUST HAVE exceptional SQL capabilities - Working independently within guidelines, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology. - Must be able to diagnose and solve the problems as well as guiding with best practices of trouble shooting methods - Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
