Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute degree/certificate
in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or
equivalent work experience with High school diploma or GED equivalent
*Licenses/Certification/Registration: None*
*Experience: *5-8 years of relevant work experience
*Skills and Abilities: *Advanced computer knowledge is required, including
expert knowledge of web application server environments, thorough
understanding of Unix/Linux Operating Systems and working knowledge of
Oracle RDBMS and networking protocols.
The following are specific skills that are required:
· Ability to tune and debug Java Virtual Machines.
· Possess a thorough understanding of JDBC connections and
configuration of JDBC parameters.
· Possess a thorough understanding of Oracle Fusion Middleware and
able to configure and debug it.
· Possess advanced Unix shell scripting abilities.
· Ability to install, configure and debug WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat,
WebSphere, and GlasFish clustering with F5 or Apache server.
· Ability to architect/design new web servers/systems while
participating in a multi-disciplinary team.
· Capable of creating and handling JAVA messaging and bridges.
· Capable of monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle Fusion
Middleware, third party application servers, and other web services
manually.
· Possess a thorough understanding of authentication systems (LDAP,
AD, OID) and have the ability to configure applications to use them.
*1. *Maintenance & Administration
a. Configure, manage and maintain web systems, including:
· Oracle SSO/OIM/OID**Not a Must**
· Web Application Server: Tomcat, JBOSS, Websphere-**Must Have**
· Oracle WebLogic Server-Must Have
· Oracle WebCenter and Content Server-Nice to have knowledge of
· Proxy Server: Apache, IIS-Nice to have knowledge of
*b. *Configure, develop, understand, and troubleshoot web
applications:
· Java- Must Have
· JDeveloper-Nice to have knowledge of
· Unix Scripting -Must Have
c. Provide infrastructure support for systems including:
· In-store WebLogic and Java environment. -Must Have
· Needs of new projects
d. Provide support for the Account Creation Team
e. Provide support for Development and Application teams.
2. Management and Oversight of Technology and Environments
a. Serve as a lead Web Server Administrator, in helping drive
technology and new initiatives as best fit for a retail environment.
b. Develop and communicate plans and expectations for the support of
the web server infrastructure.
c. Monitor and provide continual feedback to management regarding
system performance, project updates, etc. Ensure the compliance to system
policies and procedures.
d. Individual needs to ensure that appropriate communications are in
place to status problems and projects.
· Individual is expected to be engaged at the appropriate times
with the team
