Position:Business Analyst
Location:Pleasanton, CA
Duration:Long Term.


*Please note the manager does NOT want to see Buyers or Purchasers, just
Sourcing Managers with experience in Information Technology procurement
Interviews will be phone and then face to face*

The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for performing all
sourcing/procurement activities for Telecommunications including:
Implementing sourcing management strategy. Providing research support
through tools such as Gartner and/or Meta Group
Leading cross-functional teams to realize and exploit cost saving
opportunities. Determine key issues in a project or operational situation,
involve the appropriate individuals and develop appropriate plans of action
from multi-disciplinary perspective
Effectively negotiating contracts and long term procurement agreements,
working with Kaiser legal team
Leading change management programs to establish processes and procedures to
realize the benefit of new strategy. The sourcing manager must have a high
degree of creativity to develop process changes for approval and
implementation
Communicate persuasively and effectively with wide range of internal and
external customers, consistently make sound business and financial judgments


*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, operations research,
engineering, economics or related field
7 years experience in a combination of purchasing, strategic sourcing,
materials management, Telecommunications operations or other related areas
Experience in employing strategic souring methodologies (stakeholder
engagement, RFP process etc.) and large contract negotiations

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

Master's Degree preferred
Telecomm experience preferred
Professional certification such as C.P.M. or APICS preferred
Experience working in a project-based environment is preferred
These candidates will be responsible for high dollar mega deals (ex. $200
Million over 10 years, $10 million over 3 years). The candidate must spell
out in the resume the size of the deals they have worked and the amount of
the cost savings. Must be really strong with RFPs, setting up evaluations
and meetings with stakeholders based on the RFPs, and have experience with
negotiating and drafting contracts.
