SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer - Internet (Integration) will be a part of the
technical team responsible for feature design/development, maintenance and
production support of a successful E-commerce B2C website.



GOALS:

· To provide technical and architectural direction regarding implementation
of design initiatives

· To work with your team to solve business problems in various domains in a
challenging and dynamic environment

· To collaborate with developers, testers, and program managers both
internal and external to GameStop



MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Software Engineer - Internet (Integration) will be responsible for
collaborating with other team members and the business teams to build high
quality software deliverables to support business initiatives.

Responsibilities include the following:

· Design, development and support of integration methods to interact with
various GameStop systems. (Via Web Services, BizTalk 2006, MQ Series, etc.)

· Extensive use of SQL to support and develop applications for the
E-Commerce department.

· Understanding and interacting with an AS/400-based systems.

· Full life cycle analysis, planning, development and documentation

· Able to prepare, read and understand project specifications

· Setting and meeting development and production support deadlines

· Interact with various internal departments to resolve questions of program
intent, data input, output requirements and inclusion of internal checks and
controls

· Analyze and perform system design for web projects of advanced complexity

· Help to develop and set standard coding practices

· Fully documents all programs written or revised

· Problem isolation/determination

· Production support and routine website maintenance

· Manage projects and perform other duties as assigned by the E-Commerce
Systems Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Business (B2B) concepts

hours to fulfill the requirements of the position.
* Must be able to go on a rotation shift of 7x24 on-call support for the
E-Commerce environment.

· Able to manage time effectively to meet all expectations of the position.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· 4-year college degree or equivalent experience



Professional Experience must include:

· 4+ years of demonstrable systems integration experience with XML Web
Services in C#, SOAP, XSLT, XSD, and WSDL

· 4+ years Microsoft .Net Framework experience (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET)

· 2+ years of Java Development experience

· 3+ years MS SQL server design/dev table definition stored procedures

· 3+ years full life cycle development with process and quality focus

· Configuration management, version control, web publishing strategies

· Internet protocols such as HTTP, SSL and SOAP

· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Must be capable of
writing functional design specs and test plans. Must be articulate in
expressing thoughts and ideas.

· Prefer some E-Commerce hardware / architecture / networking exposure

· Prefer prior retail experience



Strong Preference will be shown to Candidates with 1 or more of the
following skills:

· MQ Series Integration Experience

· 2+ years BizTalk Server 2006 (Orchestrations, Schemas, Maps, XML, XSLT,
etc)

· WSE (Web Services Enhancements) 3

· BizTalk Business Activity Services (BAS) and Business Activity Monitoring
(BAM)

· Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF)

· Prior development experience integrating Microsoft applications and
applications running on the AS/400 platform

· High volume retail E-Commerce experience.
