Enhance existing Linux "gold images" of Point of Sales systems targeted for
the client's stores to be secure and PCI compliant. Such an environment
will enable Client to leverage a Linux platform for IT solutions.
Target Image Types
Novell SuSE SLES 10 sp2 64 bit
DSL Linux 4.4.10
Novell SuSE SLEPOS SLE11 32 bit
Following are the responsibilities
. Prepare the OS bed for deploying the POS image with the following
characteristic
o Working/Final production ready images
o PCI Compliant (for 2010 standards)
o Secure system for a retail environment
(based upon industry best practices)
o
. Documented categorized list of enhances beyond the provided base
images
. Demonstration with Documentation
o Identification of all tool sets required to achieve compliance
o Related configuration file locations and specific settings
o Related log file locations and relevant event descriptions
o Update procedures for OS, applications, and required toolsets
o Bootstrap process for security related services
