*Role: Teradata Architect*
*Location: Bellevue, WA * *Duration: 6 Months* *Job Description:* Teradata ARCHITECT/CONSULTANT As a Senior Teradata Developer/Architect/Consultant you will work directly with the client to facilitate the use of their Business Intelligence products. They should be ready to tackle the most demanding assignments, from departmental data mining engagements to enterprise-wide e-business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams. Desired Skills & Experience Definition Strong Requirement Elicitation & Analysis skills Should have the capability to understand requirements and convert to design Ability to coordinate with SMEs, stakeholders, manage timelines, escalation & provide on time status - strong project management skills as well. Technical: · Good knowledge in Teradata concepts and Logical/physical database design · Experience in using Teradata utilities TPT, TPump, BTEQ, fastload, fastexport and multiload. · In-depth knowledge of Performance tuning and optimization to handle and process large volume of data in Teradata · Experience in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions) based on User requirements and architectural guidelines and standards. · Good knowledge and experience on Big Data related technologies is a plus · Good knowledge of BI/DW concepts · In-depth knowledge of Performance tuning and optimization to handle and process large volume of data in Teradata · Experience in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions) based on User requirements and architectural guidelines and standards. · Experience in writing Unix Shell scripting is a must · Excellent Communication Skills Job Duties (include but are not limited to): · Requirements Elicitation and Analysis. Use of documents, templates etc. to make this happen fast. · Ability to coordinate seamlessly with business, Functional SME & Teradata expert. · Ability to manage projects - follow timelines, schedule meetings, define agenda, guide onsite and offshore, define solution, get it validated and sign-off. Define next steps. Escalate and get things done if required. · Perform data modeling and data warehouse design in Teradata · Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success.
