Note: The client wants expert level candidates who can run the show. There
is a need for up and running candidates to start with min learning curve.

Scope – Company is seeking qualified candidates to manage / administer and
support platform transition initiatives of legacy infrastructure which
critical business applications still reside.



   - *Job Responsibilities:  *
      - Perform system administration of HP-UX servers (PA-RISC & Itanium).
      - Maintain/repair HP-UX server issues and related system issues as
      needed to maintain a stable, predictable, and scalable server
environment.
      - Working with vendors and internal groups, developing and executing
      system transformation/transition initiatives and enhance and
upgrade server
      systems.
      - Lead and assist in system projects; Build, QC, and deploy servers
      per customer build process.





   - *Required Skills:     *
      - Technical support skills; troubleshooting and problem solving
      skills;
      - verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
      - High level of expertise in HP-UX systems administration. Experience
      with additional flavors of Unix is a plus.

      - TCP/IP Networking and Unix administration is mandatory and other
      technologies is desirable.
      - Must have good oral and written communication skills and be able to
      - discuss technical issues with users, vendors and customers having
      diverse technical and business backgrounds.



   - *Required Experience:   *
      - B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
      experience.
      - Deep understanding of the HP-UX operating system including
      scripting, kernel, networking, boot configurations.

                      * Critical to Quality – must have*

   - *Big HP-UX experience (Itanium), SAN attached storage, multi-pathing
   configuration, etc.*
   - *LVM Storage Configuration*
   - *Experience with HP Ignite*
   - *Enhanced HP-UX configuration and management.*
   - *MC/Serviceguard Clustering packages; setup, scripting, and operations*
