Title:Financial Analyst Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire Position. Job Description : Under limited supervision, responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing moderately complex financial information, plans and projects utilizing knowledge of traditional financial theory. Performs analysis of financial studies and prepares summary reports for management. Makes recommendations for financial policies and guidelines to improve company's financial position. Prepares comprehensive reports and projections on financial performance of company. Typically reports to Financial Planning Manager or finance executive. Typically requires a college degree and 1 to 3 years related experience or an MBA degree. Additional Job Description: Looking for a motivated, self starting and experienced individual to assist in a variety of accounting and finance functions at our office in Rancho Bernardo. The candidate needs to have a working knowledge of accrual accounting, General Ledgers, month-end and year-end close demands, be able to independently deal with accounting issues, and recommend appropriate accounting treatment in response to business events. In addition, the candidate should also possess Financial Planning and Analysis experience with regards to preparing outlooks, plans and variance analysis. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Account Reconciliation • Accrual Accounting/Journal Entries • Expense Forecasting and Planning • Account Variance Analysis • Other Projects as assigned SKILLS: Skills and attributes for this position are as follows: good verbal and written communications; organizational skills; interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers; Excel and PC skills; systems aptitude; Oracle ERP, Business Objects, and Pillar experience helpful; strong analytical and problem solving skills; results-oriented; self- motivated; capacity to learn quickly; and ability to work effectively in both team and self directed work environments. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, FASBs. • BS/BA degree Accounting PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ● Minimum of 5 years full-time accounting experience • Local candidate ● CPA or professional accounting qualifications a plus Possible conversion to TD full time with right candidate.
