Description: Monitoring production environments Address application issues that come via tickets, emails, phone calls and automated alerts. Understand the applications within the application suite and address technical and functional issues Use modern monitoring tools such as BMC Remedy and analytical monitoring tools Proactively take steps to reduce number of issues Work closely with development team to understand the changes to application and platform Deploy applications to UAT and production environment with fixes that were raised part of incidents. Test and ensure necessary testing is done before application is deployed to production. Expertise: Languages, Technologies, Functional domain Unix utilities like scripting, awk, sed Proficiency in writing SQL Experience of working with Datastage Experience in trouble shooting applications and ETL in Datastage Should have worked in either in application development or production support Experience in supporting people remotely Work experience in Financial industry Soft-skills required for this role: Ability to effectively partner with global counterparts Ability to collaborate with global teams as well as work independently Ability to multitask Passion to trouble-shoot issues Problem solving techniques - assesses a series of solutions in order to choose the most appropriate for the given problem, revaluates the progress for the chosen solution over time.
