Title : Java Build Release Engineer Location : Falmouth, ME Duration : 6 Months Contract Job Description: We are looking to hire a J2EE build and release engineer for an enterprise class package implementation. Must have experience with J2EE technologies and a solid understanding of build and release management principles. Will be responsible for creating build and release processes and providing predictable, repeatable and reliable application deployments across numerous development and test environments including appropriate rollback provisions. Primary Responsibilities: · Create and maintain build, deployment and rollback scripts/tools · Execute scheduled application builds and deployments · Provide support for production environment configuration issues · Create and maintain standardized release documentation · Provide support to development groups for release configuration issues REQUIRED: · SUSE Linux · Java/J2EE · Apache Tomcat · IBM MQ series · Oracle · QC Defect tracking DESIRED: · XML · Experience with a cross platform installer like InstallAnywhere or InstallBuilder or similar. · TOAD · XML Spy · MKS – source code management · QC automated testing Other Qualifications: · Bachelor of Science in computer science or related discipline · Full project lifecycle experience on 2 or more large J2EE projects · Release management experience for 2 years · Experience with Linux system for 2 years · Excellent attention to detail · Strong communication skills, verbal and written · Must exude a positive, can-do attitude · Strong team player · Bonus if you have: o Masters of Science in computer science or related discipline o Specialized training or courses beyond college o Java certification o Experience with the Provenir platform Qualification Rating Skills Apache 4+ Yrs.
