*Seattle, WA locals need * *project – back end service dev using java technologies. * *- Mark – director of engineer – bespoke engineering tribe – they are a group of end teams, and they do custom dev for customer engagements. This is a product engineer group who develops solutions. Working on a variety of different projects. * *- solving gaps for customers for the product that is not providing a specific service and they pull the functionality to the product suite* *- when no customer work they will focus on product development* *- bolster product road maps., one off small features, regular product development, and work on shorter timelines * *- All backend work – occasionally some front end UI dev for administrative purposes* *- Java main programing language* *- Linux system admin capabilities* *- groovy framework for testing capabilities* *- must be able to write in a JVM language* *- day to day primarily java* *- Interviews – super high level phone screen, don’t get too picky and they can communicate well what they have done and what they are currently working on. Straight forward coding challenge* *Then in person for 3 hours… candidate must be able to describe what they are doing in a clean matter. * *- api level design questions, systems design questions, basic java technical q&a* *- computer science degree is ideal or at least 5 years + of professional experience* *- new role add on a developer* *- 5 people on the team they want to grow to 10 ppl by the end of 2017* *- hope to convert this person to full time* *- must be able to talk intelligently and demonstrate proficiency in design and coding* *- customer feature addition examples – plugins to existing product services like payment adaptors with a payment gateway they don’t currently support. Or a publisher adaptor to spit out documents in a format proprietary to a specific customer* *- no client facing. They will work as part of a customer engagement but the engagement will be run by the solutions architect and PM * *- team tests their own code. * *- rest api, parsing. Cloud deployment AWS experience, containerized like docker are all nice to have, with agile methodologies.* *- mostly tying into web services or service side components that run* *- previous video experience I not really beneficial more important to have service side development experience and working on mission critical applications* *- do end to end development from customer and then doing something with the development requests.
