*Location: Indianapolis, IN* *Duration: 6+ Months C2H* *Positions: 1 (2 slots left)* *Rate: $50/hr on C2C* *Job Requirement:* DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Senior Java Web Developer is responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the new development and maintenance life cycle, for a corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. We are seeking candidates with: MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: • Seasoned Java Developer with strong working knowledge with Java/J2EE technologies • Successful Senior Developer must be able to meet all deadlines • Understand Application Design Architecture approaches • Experience in OOAD architecture and modeling and designing artifacts • Has recently applied Architectural Application design to new large system efforts • Has extensive experience in new design and development along with planning of such efforts • Eventually would perform Lead development role work duties • Experienced in planning work tasks in an Agile-Scrum development platform • Extensive Java / J2EE programming experience on multiple application servers and middleware platforms • Solid SQL programming and development using Oracle • Strong Programming Skills in designing and implementation of multi-tier applications using Java, J2EE, JDBC, JSP, JSTL, HTML, JSF, Struts, JavaScript, Servlets, JavaBeans, CSS, EJB, XSLT, JAXB • Strong development experience in design RESTful WS/JSM payload services • Familiar with relational database structures • Strong experience with software component vendors to enhance functional features • Strong experience in n-tier application architecture design • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements • May lead technical requirement gathering meetings • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important in this position • Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary • Develops and owns list of final build enhancements • Develops and defines application development scope and objectives • Prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews • Ensures unit test completion, meets test plan requirements, system testing is completed according to plan • Assesses current status and supports data information planning • Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects. • Facilitates group design and collaboration sessions to elicit complex information on SDLC topics EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA/BS in graphic or visual design, fine arts, or arts related field; 5 or more years related experience; multi-platform experience; expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
