Emphasis on Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, Microsoft SSIS
development, Business Objects development and support, and Oracle DBA
support
Position Responsibilities
- Work within the Data Team and with business users to support existing
programs and business processes and continue development efforts for ongoing
Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SSIS projects.
- Support existing Oracle data warehouse environment including the design
and implementation of relational database structures and reporting &
transactional tables.
- Support Oracle development including the creation of tables and views
utilizing both OEM and Quest (Toad) tools.
- Create test plans and other critical technical documentation to support
Unity’s systems.
- Provide technical consulting services and recommendations to improve
existing system and database design and data processes.
- Perform Oracle DBA backup and support duties.
Qualification Requirements
Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or
two-year degree with equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years experience working with business clients to define
requirements, build systems, and create technical design documents following
a full Systems Development Life Cycle approach.
- 5+ years experience programming in PL/SQL, developing functions,
programs, and stored procedures.
- 5+ years experience in Oracle database design and development.
- 3+ years experience in data warehouse design and development.
- 3+ years experience in MS SQL Server development (SSIS).
- 3+ years experience in Business Objects, preferably version XI 3+.
- Demonstrated proficiency in relational database concepts.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in the health care or health insurance industry.
- Experience with OpenVMS and Linux/Unix beneficial.
- Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server environment.

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and exceptional problem solving skills.
- Can easily communicate technical issues both verbally and in writing.
