Job Summary:



This individual will be a lead software engineer for the development of
Wellington's Fixed Income Trading platform as part of the Global Trading
System (GTS) program. This role will report to the Manager of the GTS Fixed
Income team in the Enterprise Development Center (EDC).  They will be
building out new trading workflows.



Keys to the Job



1.  At least 10 years of IT experience with at least 3 years of Leadership
experience.  This person will be leading a team of 3-5 resources that will
be on and off shore and they will be a combination of developers and QA
testers.

2.  7+ Years of Java Development experience.  They will be responsible for
the Architecture, design and development of the application.

3.  5+ years working with JMS

4.  2+ years working with Hibernate

4.  Must have at least 2 years of experience working with FIX or SWIFT

5.  Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills



Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication, technical leadership,
and architecture skills plus proven ability to lead the design and delivery
of solutions relevant to complex business problems



*Specific requirements include:*



·  Six to eight years core servers-side Java/J2EE development (v1.5 or
higher)

·  Strong knowledge and experience with messaging technologies and APIs
(e.g. JMS, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ)

·  Strong knowledge and experience with frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)

·  Strong knowledge and experience with multi-threading, concurrency and
other complex technical implementations

·  Experience developing complex fixed income trading or other transactional
applications with high performance requirements

·  Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects

·  Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment supporting a business-critical production environment

· Experience developing with the FIX protocol a strong plus

·  Computer Science degree or related field



*Job Responsibilities:   *



As a senior member of the Fixed Income Development team, the individual will
have the following responsibilities:

·  Lead the technical design, implementation, deployment, and support of the
Fixed Income Trading platform and other Fixed Income related applications
within the Trading suite of applications

·  Team management responsibilities, including the project and delivery
quality supervision of approximately 4-6 software engineers (consultants) in
an onshore/offshore model

·  Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business
requirements

·  Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on estimates,
status, design and quality assurance

·  Partner with the Architecture team to ensure track work is aligned with
the strategic direction of the enterprise

·  Stay current with evolving Trading industry and technical trends to
ensure systems and team are of highest caliber
