Candidate will be responsible for designing and building components of scalable, secure web-based applications. The Senior Security Java Developer is self-directed and able to design and construct systems with little or no technical guidance. The T-3 web site will be a JEE-based web site. A Web Developer needs to be able to work within a portal-type development environment, specifically Day Software’s CQ5 platform, designing and building UI components and web service components. The candidate must also have a background with web security such as identity management and login, registration and account maintenance functionality. ESSENTIALD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design, implement and unit test web-based applications and portlets. Document design ideas. Be able to quickly learn, use and modify out-of-the-box portal components as well as building new ones. - Lead or participate in function design in conjunction with system analyst. - Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements and development of code reviews and technical designs/specifications. - Develop use cases, static and dynamic object models that document requirements and designs of applications where applicable. - Develop within Day’s CMS UI environment. - Ensure cleanliness and optimization of Java code. REQUIRED SKILLS: - Ability to provide accurate work estimates and deliver projects on schedule. - Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Willingness to mentor, and have strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
