*NEED CANDIDATES WHO CAN FURNISH 2 PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES * *FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW NEEDED* Dallas, TX 8 Months Skills: Cognos * Cognos Framework Manager Cognos Report Studio The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and executing Business Intelligence related reports and diagnostics including designing data cubes etc., as well as developing and disseminating a wide variety of analytical reports using Cognos 8. Other related responsibilities include ongoing user support, maintenance, and other BI related information technology endeavors.. Education/Experience o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required o 2-4 years experience required Daily Responsibilities: • Interact with the Business users for requirement gathering and agile development processes. • Use Cognos Framework Manager to build models, packages and publish packages. • Created complex reports (multiple queries joined together to create one output, tabular SQL with custom joins) using Report Studio. • Developed Standard Reports, List Reports, Cross-tab Reports, Charts, Drill through Reports • Scheduling and Distributing Reports through Schedule Management in Cognos Connection. • Create Cubes based on the business requirements and create the related drill through reports to satisfy reporting requirements. • Create query prompts, cascading prompts, develop prompt pages and conditional variables • Unit testing and UAT of Cognos reports. • Troubleshooting errors/issues with Production reports. • Develop Dash Boards and Drill down / Drill Up reports • Develop technical specifications and documentation to support the SDLC. • Develop custom SQL to solve business reporting requirements and to generate hoc database analysis. Minimum Qualifications: • 5 years minimum of Cognos experience, with at least 2 years of hands on experience using Cognos 8.1 or higher with ReportNet (Report Studio, Framework Manager, and Cognos Connection).
