*SQL Server DBA* *Location –* Chicago, IL * * *Duration* – 3-6+ Months *Rate/hr* – Rate *Interview* - Phone + In Person *Description: **TTX is looking to hire a SQL Server DBA's starting on Jan 10th. They are converting/upgrading 36 servers from SQL Server 2000/2005 to 2008. Phone screen, F2F, decision. * * * *REQUIRED:*** · 7+ years information technology experience is required. · 5+ years combined experience installing, configuring, and securing SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008. · B.A. or B.S. required, a degree in a related area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology) is a plus · Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server database, analytical and reporting structures, theories, principles, and practices. · Significant experience in the development of data extraction and load processes in a heterogeneous platform environment (Data Delivery). · Data base design using Normalization and Star and Snowflake approaches. · Hands-on data audit and forensics troubleshooting experience. · Expert in database backup and recovery processes and procedures. · Excellent verbal and written skills Strong technical documentation skills. · Good interpersonal skills. · Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required. · Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. · Highly self motivated and directed. · Keen attention to detail. · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure 24X7 environment. · Strong customer service orientation. · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. *PLUSES* · Relevant certifications (MCDBA, etc.) are a big plus. · Knowledge of or experience with web service technologies a big plus. · Experience defining, writing, and publishing corporate policy statements · Experience tuning LINQ database calls · Knowledge of ADO.NET <http://ado.net/> and .NET Frameworks · Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures Please send candidates with resume, name, e-mail address, phone number, rate, and current location.
