                                 Position: SharePoint Developer/Admin



                                 Location: Waltham, MA



                                 Duration: 6 Months







Description:

This is a non-managerial, senior-level position in the consulting business.
Responsible for high-level consultative, Infrastructure-related services to
clients within the Microsoft Enterprise Software Platform. Normally on a
regional or national scale infrastructure (re-engineering projects are
common). Identifies marketable services, which support client needs, and
delivers those services for clients on a billable basis. Works with
management to identify and market other services and provide a transition of
information and responsibility to people providing those services. This
position requires frequent travel and the flexibility to work in diverse
corporate environments.



*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*



Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in Multiple Disciplines a plus.
Certifications should be related to the following workloads.



·    Desktop, Device, and Server Management



·         Microsoft Packaged Services experience, DDPS, EDPS, SDPS



·         Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft FastSearch



   - Ability to architect solutions by mapping common enterprise business
   problems to reusable end-to-end technology solution utilizing Microsoft
   SharePoint



*Experience with the following product families:*



Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, Project Server and Team Foundation Server
a plus.



Candidate should have experience migrating from earlier versions of the
above platforms as well as from competing platforms. Candidate should have
experience utilizing industry standard tools, best practices and
methodologies in enterprise class engagements



Experience working with Microsoft Enterprise Sales teams, Specialist Team
and Small and Mid Market Solutions teams a plus.



*Delivers Services to Clients:*



·              Researches and evaluates client system infrastructure and
architecture; draws conclusions; and develops recommendations in accordance
with engagement objectives.



·              Identifies and resolves project issues with clients.



·              Delivers briefings, status reports, presentations, and
milestone deliverables to clients and prospects.



·              Promotes and practices teamwork within and with client
project personnel.



·              Imposes the highest practical level of quality in all
assignments.



·              Identifies, and communicates to the client, the value
inherent in work being performed and the importance of each deliverable.



·              Participates in the Client Marketing and Development Process



·              Identifies client prospects, and engagement opportunities
within those projects.



·              Works with Sales personnel, the Practice Managers, and
Management to pursue opportunities. Writes proposal components or letters of
understanding, as needed, to respond to RFPs and other marketing situations.



·              Works with the Practice Managers and Management to develop
and/or adopt specific techniques for addressing client needs in an assigned
area. Cultivates strong client relationships, which lead to further work
with existing clients.



·              May represent or present expertise at client or public
conferences.



·              Maintains Currency on Technology Matters through reading,
hands-on experience, coursework, and attendance at briefings and
conferences, maintains a current understanding of relevant technical issues.
Self-trains at the highest level of intellectual understanding in National
Practices.



·              Although conversant across a wide base of technology, this
individual should also have a specific area of expertise, where they could
be considered “Expert” level (i.e. SharePoint, HPS and Storage, Networking
or Operating Systems, Virtualization, Engineering). Carrying certifications
in one or more of these areas of expertise required.



·              Maintains relationships with vendor personnel at appropriate
levels as a resource for obtaining correct and current information about
products, strategies, and approaches.



·              Cultivates relationships with partners, suppliers in order to
develop and share understanding of technology roadmaps both within Insight
and with Insight’s client community.



·              Converts detailed understanding of products and services into
insights, which are valuable to clients, in a specified area of networking
technology.



·              Helps Shape Technology Agenda



·              Works with management to identify areas of growth in order to
optimally position the company for customer service in the future.



·              Provides feedback to the Regional Practice Managers to build
the basic tool sets for generic management of client-focused services within
the company.



·              Works with service sales, COE’s and Practice Leadership to
define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates,
and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery
expectations
