Locals ( or ) nearby state preferred.*** *Position Summary* This position is the Information Technologist and Programmer/Analyst for COMPANY’s development organization. High level responsibilities include interpreting the functional requirements/ design documents and designing, developing and implementing applications following COMPANY’s Agile Software Development Processes. The position requires a minimum of 4-5 years of industry experience in writing solutions using Enterprise* *Java technology skills and experience in web-based application development (using Java, Java EE, JDBC, JMS, JSP, Servlets, HTML, and JavaScript). Experience with MVC Architecture along with working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows is essential. Any experience or exposure to Adobe Flex technologies is a plus. *Primary responsibilities* *A. Technical* - Analyzes the functional requirements and design documents (including object models) and translates them into software modules - Follows COMPANY standards for Java/J2EE development in delivering the required software. - Adheres to COMPANY UI standards in designing and developing user interface modules (JSP, Servlets, Flex, following the MVC pattern) - Follows industry standards, patterns and best practices for J2EE development techniques in implementing business rules (using some or all of Session Beans, Entity Beans, Hibernate, Spring, JMS, JDBC and SQL) - Demonstrates ability to pick up Adobe Flex technologies and build applications integrating with Java EE back-end modules - Participates in weekly status meetings with the team lead and technical manager - Keeps in touch with the latest Java/J2EE technology and continues to develop his/her technical skills - Responsible for unit testing his/her software modules. - Adheres to COMPANY’s configuration management plan in creating/maintaining relevant code and documentation. - Is familiar with Eclipse (Integrated Development Environment) and the usage of source code repositories (like CVS) from within Eclipse for all Java/J2EE projects. - Proficient in the use of multiple data access techniques including optimal SQL queries to inquire, insert or update data against standard relational database management systems like Oracle. - Understands PL/SQL and implements business rules by building Oracle functions and stored procedures if required. - Writes reusable code segments in an Object Oriented fashion. *B.
