*Title : QA Tester Location : NYC Duration : 3-6+ Months Contract Rate : $30/Hour on C2C or 1099* The QA team is responsible for the quality and performance testing of the various applications running on the diverse web site. The team works closely with the Development Team and the Project Management Office on approved scheduled projects. This position will assume a key role in testing development modernization and enhancement projects under tight deadlines. *The QA Tester*s responsibilities include:: *Performing both manual and automated testing utilizing HP's Quality Center, Quick TestPro, and Load Runner tools on multiple web-based applications. Analyzing business and technical documents, generating manual and automated test cases, assessing and prioritizing quality risks, estimating testing efforts, and ensuring system requirements and use cases are mapped to test plans and test cases. Generating test plans and test cases; conduct integration, regression, and system testing; and identify and document defects. *Key Relationships:* Communicating test results effectively to project leads and development team members will be key. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people. Positive attitude and strong attention to detail. Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient. Minimum 2 years of experience with Quality Center. Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA tester. Experience developing and reviewing SQL queries is a major plus.
