Strength of the candidate should be business process analysis and design.
No legal domain knowledge is required. Understanding of AP processes and
Ariba is a plus.
Role/Purpose:
Responsible for managing internal project from initiation through delivery,
including planning and budgeting, project control and status reporting,
team management, and related troubleshooting and problem resolution to
ensure completion of assigned projects on schedule and within budget.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains project plan and schedule utilizing corporate
standard PM software (MS Project). Assists team members in planning,
estimating, and controlling tasks. Ensures that interfaces are recognized
and tasks are integrated. Performs critical path analysis and develops
action plans to mitigate risk. Identifies and implements alternative
solutions
Defines project resource plan, including internal and contract resources.
Develops the business case for technology projects.
Monitors project to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and
quality parameters
Effectively communicates with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with
project management services and product delivery. Works proactively with
the client to resolve critical issues. Develops strong client and
stakeholder relationships and maintains effective communication channels.
Defines practices and processes for managing client and stakeholder
expectations.
Effectively leads and manages internal and external project resources.
Negotiates assignment of critical resources and assigns responsibilities.
Delegates and empowers others and removes obstacles. Maintains open
communication among project team members and leads project review meetings.
Instrumental in helping team members establish healthy, collaborative
relationships. Maintains enthusiasm, energy and focus in a variety of
circumstances. Translates purpose and vision into clear goals for the team.
Makes sure every team member is on board and moving in the right direction.
Consults with project stakeholders to understand business problems and
translates them into functional and non-functional requirements. Critically
evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and reconciles
conflicts. Dissects high-level information into details and is able to
communicate details in a manner understood by relevant audiences. Where
possible, influences requirements and process to effectively utilize
systems and applications without customization.

*Program Manager
Location:  San Francisco – CA
Duration:  3+ months *

Role/Purpose:
This position is responsible for cross-organizational program management in
the CLIENT Design Suite, Subscription and Web Services family of products.
The Program Manager will drive the business and execution of releases using
effective communication between various groups within the organization and
ensure that shared component products are released with high quality on
schedule.

Responsibilities:
        Excellent communication skills.  Ability to:
        Interact and collaborate with and across all levels of the
organization, customers, and external contacts with a professional
demeanor, diplomacy, and finesse.
        Effectively facilitates communication, including cross-product,
cross-functional and cross-division focus.
        Identify and resolve miscommunication across teams/orgs.
        Tailor the content and delivery of communication to the target
audience.

    Schedule Development:
        Build the program schedule, including developing the framework,
identifying dependencies - negotiating with 3rd parties / internal teams.
Identifies multi-cycle feature and schedule issues.
        Performs program planning to establish an overall project plan,
including key milestones, and drives progress to achieve project plan
within time and budget constraints. Understand and coordinate sequencing of
program and project to accomplish progress.
        Understands and assesses critical paths and dependencies for
delivering and shipping products and facilitates discussions between all
functional organizations involved in releasing the product.
    Risk / Issue Management:
        Performs risk management planning, identification, analysis,
management, responses, monitoring and control on a program.
        Brings up and resolves issues in a timely manner, including
problems that impact multiple programs and projects.
        Proposes workable solutions to complex problems while considering
the needs of all groups that are impacted
        Understands and articulates the scope of top issues and how they
relate/affect multiple projects or programs.
    Influence:
        Collaborates with management and peers in group initiatives and
assists in driving strategic decisions for projects that are under the
individual's direct and team responsibilities and makes recommendations to
colleagues on projects not under individual's direct control.
        Effectively negotiates, persuades and motivates extended project
team and management, providing justifiable proposals and recommendations
and clearly outlined courses of action to follow.
        Develops strategic methods to persuade immediate and extended
program team members for deployment of actions.
        Assesses future challenges on program and initiatives and mobilizes
immediate and extended team members to take action, proactively addressing
issues before they become crises.
        Establishes creditability with peers and managers and be a driving
force when needed.

o   Initiates, develops and effectively executes plans for change (new
process, tool, etc) across multiple teams.
o   Steps into leadership gap by assuming authority/responsibility when
necessary. Takes initiative to solve underlying systematic issues that
cause recurring problems across multiple product teams or BUs.

policies/procedures at the cross-product level, especially in times of

o   Evaluates existing processes and procedures. Makes recommendations and

tools, etc) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

o   Works on complex problems and issues of diverse scope where an in-depth
understanding and evaluation of factors are required to formulate creative
solutions for one or more projects or initiatives
o   Prepares for milestone reviews with input from the team and is the
presenter for any milestone review.
o   Proven ability "to get stuff done" across a complex organization.
o   Implements process improvements, including identifying the problem
areas and process improvements - some cross-product or cross-BU focus.
o   Manages multiple competing projects or tasks, effectively balancing
work between critical short term issues with longer term strategic goals.

Education / Experience:

    8+ years of relevant experience in program management
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
