AA Cargo, a division within American Airlines, is looking for a skilled database administrator to assist in configuring, supporting & tuning a large Oracle 10g RAC operational database. , The AA Cargo IT team is looking for an individual with proactive approach to problems who can work with a team to tackle challenging performance and functional goals and issues. The position’s responsibilities will include consulting with members of the development team to provide advice and guidance in the design, configuration and optimization of highly available database management systems in a distributed applications environment. , This role will have a particular emphasis on Oracle database management, deployment and tuning. Qualified candidates should have experience in data modeling and logical database design as well as practical experience in deployment of physical Oracle databases based on logical designs. This will include but not be limited to physical construction of tables, indexes, normalization, sizing, optimization and tuning.
