This is long term contract position based in New York City, NY. Responsibilities The Test Automation Lead will be embedded within the EIMT team and will be responsible for leading the automation effort for an Equities Trading application which interacts with multiple applications in both the equity and fixed income domains. As a member of a small core Test Automation Group, the individual will also be responsible for maintaining components of the automation framework consisting of Excel macros, VBScript code and SQL queries. The individual will work closely with QA Analysts, Developers, Project Managers and Business Analysts responsible for the application under test. Test Automation Lead will be required to direct an offshore engineer on day to day activities as well as provide weekly/monthly status reports and work estimates to QA management. The individual may also be required to develop and execute application performance tests using our automation framework and Performance Testing Tools (e.g., LoadRunner or SilkPerformer). The individual will also share in the responsibility of supporting Quality Center Required Skills 1. Minimum 8 years of *hands-on* Software Test Automation experience working on a range of software development environments, especially Java and .Net based applications. 2. 3 Plus years of *hands-on* Performance Testing experience using either SilkPerformer or LoadRunner 3. Proven knowledge of automation testing tools, QuickTest Pro and TestPartner preferred. 4. Proven knowledge and application of structured testing concepts, methodologies and tools 5. Strong understanding of automation frameworks, plus 3+ years experience working on projects utilizing an automation framework. 6. Testing experience of investment related and/or equities order management/trading applications a plus 7. Proficiency in development languages; VBScript, VBA and VB 8. Proficiency in advanced SQL queries 9. Strong understanding of database architecture/concepts 10. Proficiency in development of tools using .Net a plus 11. Proficiency working with HP Quality Center and working knowledge of Quality Center API*s 12.
