Position : *Principal Firmware Engineer (Embedded)* Location : *Vancouver, WA* Duration : *long-term or contract to hire * ** * * *Description :* I am looking for a Principal Level Firmware Engineer with demonstrated experience in embedded system design including hardware, firmware, and software components. Candidates must have excellent firmware design skills, a solid understanding of electrical design and a great appreciation for delivering optimal customer experience*.* * * *Requirements:* - Minimum of 10 years of experience in EE/FW embedded system design - Experience in consumer electronic and/or audio products is important - Demonstrated success in bringing new technologies and/or product concepts to market, including experience with Bluetooth and/or WiFi technologies. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-discipline technical teams, influence designs, and drive technology decisions using analytical, systematic, and collaborative methods. - Translate customer experience and marketing requirements into a high level specification, system block diagram, and EE/FW/SW requirements. - Hands-on board and system level architecture, design and test - Proficient in FW design and development, including validation methods, C, C++ programming, debug, source code configuration and release management, and defect tracking - Experience with 802.11 and/or Bluetooth is critical, including protocols, profiles, and qualification - Experience with Lab test equipment, such analog and digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, frequency synthesizers, and DMM's. - Experience in using MatLab, Labview and audio simulation tools is a plus - Interest in coding small test application for iOS, Android is highly appreciated - BSEE, BSCE, BSCS or equivalent required; Master’s degree desired.
