Sybase to DB2 Linux Stored Proc migration

The Internal Trade Activity and Reporting (ITARA) team, within
Institutional Securities Group Technology (ISGT) needs an experienced
database developer to convert

their Sybase Metadata database to DB2 Linux /UDB database.



The candidate needs to have an in-depth knowledge and hands on experience
in writing DB2 stored procedures with complicated SQL, to help migrate from
Sybase to DB2.

The candidate will also be responsible for working with the users and
applications of Sybase database to move to new DB2 stored procedures. The
applications that use

these are in production trade processing path, Java applications, Flex
based GUI etc.



Skills Required

·         Strong DB2 Linux/UDB and Sybase stored procedure writing
experience. Performance and tuning of queries in DB2.

·         Working with various teams and coordinating with different teams
to ensure delivery. Experience with extracting and loading data from Sybase
to DB2.

Utilities like Db2load, export, import in DB2 and Sybase utilities like
bcp.



Skills Desired

·         Past experience in converting Sybase to DB2
