Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Database Administrators have a range of skills and knowledge of the utilities and production tools used for data storage management to support the Application Team. DBA2 *Relevant Experience:* 5+ years *Preferred Education:* 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study *Role Description:* All roles specified in DBA1 plus the following: •Business systems analysis and design experience. •Logical data modeling techniques. •Production environment Tools/Utilities. •Knowledgeable in data analysis and database management techniques. •Execution of all responsibilities with little direct supervision of Team Lead. •Administration and scripting experience in SQL Server 2008 (r2 is preferable) •Supervise performance tuning. •Author shell scripts to perform back up, restore, and monitoring tasks. •Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team. •Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner. •Identify and track issues, risks and action items. • Experience with SQL Server 2008 or higher in a Microsoft Cluster environment • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server • A solid understanding of Multi-tiered Application environment • An understanding of firewall concepts. • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. • May need to travel within the State of Delaware at their own expense. • Ability to flex schedule or work overtime as work load dictates. • Should possess strong organizational and management skills and be able to apply them while working on a large complex technical assignment. • Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally. • Must be able to work with a team but also take initiative on their own. *Skills Matrix :* Experience with Administration of SQL Server 2008 Experience with SQL Server 2008 in a Microsoft Cluster Environment Work as a Production DBA Work as a Development DBA Work as a Test DBA Experience with SQL Server 2008 R2 Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server Experience migrating from DB2 to SQL Server 2008 and above Prior work with Data Validation/compare tools Experience or exposure with SQL Server 2012 Experience with Red Gate - Data Compare Tools Thanks Madhu madhukar.ma...@ideasolutionsinc.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
