*Please go through the following job description, if interested send me the updated profile ASAP.* * * *Job Title: Developer - SAP PI and EDI * *Location : Schaumburg, IL* *Duration : Full-time* * Need local candidates only* *GENERAL PURPOSE: * Responsible for the development, enhancements, troubleshooting, fixes, and ongoing maintenance of all EDI and B2B integrations to the SAP applications which support the Network Services business areas. Position includes ongoing project-based development work, as well as day to day support of existing applications. Serve as a technical expert resource for IT Staff in all EDI and general SAP technical areas. Applications in the environment include core SAP ERP applications including SAP ECC version 6.0 (ep3), with modules including FI, CO, SD, MM, Agency Business, CRM, BI, NetWeaver PI (XI), Portal and MDM. * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * · Development · Responsible for development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements of all EDI business processes and systems. · Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing systems, define the solution, and translate that into detailed programming designs. · Take the lead in managing EDI and other B2B implementation projects with new customers and suppliers. Lead initial discussion, requirements definition, design processes, as well as actual development of the solution. · Ability to take detailed programming designs and perform the development required to translate them into efficient and accurate code. · Capable of effectively communicating with internal and external customers possessing various levels of technical knowledge. Ability to determine the underlying issue when presented with sometimes confusing and/or contradictory information; demonstrate good listening skills. · Ability to quickly solve/determine problems working with technical/non-technical groups in areas that may not be primary area of expertise. · Technical Database Expertise and User Support · Development projects as assigned, including requirements documentation through design, development, testing and documentation. · Day to day support, administration and maintenance as Level 2 or 3 support for reported issues with assigned application areas/systems. · Support IT Help Desk with any SAP EDI and/or PI related issues. · Liaison to AMS Service and SAP Support for any EDI and/or PI related tickets. *SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * · Technical Skills: · Solid and extensive foundation and experience in ABAP development, with both custom development and customizations to existing processes, including use of IDOCs, ALE, RFC, BAPI, BADI, ALV, LSMW, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports (Classical and Interactive Reports), BDC (Batch-Input and Call Transaction Methods), Smart Forms. · Extensive experience designing and developing interfaces using SAP PI (formerly XI or Exchange Infrastructure) including mapping and IDOC processing. · Demonstrated experience in configuration of the PI/XI Landscape in SLD with the System Landscape browser, including both Web AS ABAP and Web AS JAVA. Configuration of the Software Catalog and the Exchange profiles. · Expert development of end-to-end PI/XI integrations using Integration Builder Design and Configuration for Integration Scenarios. Development of Message types, Message interfaces, Message mapping and Interface mappings in Integration Builder. Creation of configuration objects such as the Configuration scenario, Party, Receiver determination, Interface determination, Sender agreements and Receiver agreements for the various scenarios. · Expert development and support of the See burger EDI mapping and translation applications integrated with SAP PI/XI, including traditional VAN based EDI, FTP based EDI, and AS2. · Experience in full development life cycle - all areas and phases of the SDLC. · Database experience - SQL Server 2005. · Windows expertise (Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems). Citrix virtual desktop experience a plus. · Prefer experience in working with SAP Business Objects BI Suite. · Prefer experience with other SAP partner applications and integrations to SAP: · Esker Fax solution · Paymetric Credit Card Processing solution · Vertex sales tax solution · Winshuttle *SAP Application Areas: * · Good understanding of business process flows in SD, MM and FI areas, including master data setup, and standard SAP order to cash processes in a distribution environment. · Professional Skills: · Must have “can do” attitude and be able to work independently. · Good written and verbal communication skills. · Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities. · Individual must have proven ability to support multiple projects on an aggressive timeline. · Knowledge of distribution industry processes and the ability to generate functional requirements and design documents to solve business problems a strong plus. · Strong time management skills. · Able to work with staff at all levels of corporate management. · Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities for assigned tasks. · Ability and willingness to learn *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
