*Position: Java Programmer/Analyst* *Location: Austin, TX* *Duration: 8 Months Contract* * * *Qualifications:* *F2F Required*** *No. of Positions: 4* *Background check is required * * * *Position Functions or Responsibilities:* **** The Project includes replacing the system’s Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) database structures with IBM’s relational database structure (DB2), modifying the existing code to accommodate the new data structures, upgrading the development and testing tools so that the new system can be supported efficiently into the future, reducing the complexity of rates functionality and improving processing, and updating the staff user interface without a complete redesign (e.g., use tool to transform screens to accessible web pages and incorporate more intuitive menus and dropdown selection) to reduce training costs and improve customer service representative productivity. **** **** The JAVA Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for developing approved requirements. Will be required to conduct, or participate in, some stages of testing.
