Description       Capable of working on multiple, often dependent,
programs, assuming system development and architecture responsibilities in
assigned projects.  Ability to take direction from Management.

            Assume architect responsibility for two major core
applications:  Statewide Voter Registration and Campaign Finance Reporting
Systems.



            Responsibilities/Duties

            Understand requirements based on software system analysis,
specification design & development services.  Able to architect and develop
web-based applications based on requirements.    Keep managers informed on
progress of projects and to identify potential problems early.

            Ability to program the more complex tasks for any
project.         Provide weekly status reports to project manager.

            Conduct Technical Interviews     Performs other duties as
assigned.

            Ability to architect solutions based on requirements; ability
to determine use of newer technologies to update applications based on
older technologies.

            Ability to communicate programming requirements to other team
members.

            Ability to develop software for written specifications.

            Ability to work as part of a team of developers & mentor junior
team members.

            Ability to verbally communicate with team members & customers
and provide written documentation.

Comments:  candidates who have previous programming experience can waive
the educational requirements.
