Sr. WebSphere Adminstrator 12+months contract Winston Salem, NC MAX RATE: $45/Hr Job Description: *Manage Web Infrastructure and all related components. *Day to Day support of Web Infrastructure to include 24x7 support *Manage WebSphere Network Deployment 7.x, 8.x, IBM HTTP Server *Support the development of infrastructure products and services to include Web, Directory (LDAP), Security, and Application services. *Collaborate with Network, Development, and E-Business areas to insure sound security methods and practices are in place for Internet/Intranet services. *Manage and maintain web-based environments for software development activities to support various phases of the software development cycle. These phases would include Development, integration testing, load testing, user acceptance testing, and production. *Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support a growing emphasis on web based solutions. *Meet all IT&S audit and security obligations Posting Requirements : *Considered expert with 5 to 7 years of proven web site management experience with WebSphere Network Deployment version 6.0, 7.0 and later, IBM HTTP Server 6.0 , 7.0 and later including knowledge and experience with good site structure and security practices, installation and configuration. *Ability to setup and maintain virtual websites and JVMs in WebSphere and IBM HTTP Server *Experience with WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus *4 years of proven WebSphere experience running on an AIX platform to include knowledge and experience of system administration concepts *Advanced WebSphere administration skills to include but not limited to clustering, horizontal and vertical scaling, jms, independent use of the deployment manager. *In depth knowledge of how to administer the J2EE architecture to include EARs, WARs, EJBs, Servlets, JSPs, and RMI services *Knowledge of AIX operating system *Excellent scripting experience to include Jacl, Perl and ksh *Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems by reviewing logs, and performing various UNIX commands. *In depth knowledge of web-based security practices including SSL and server digital certificates. *Independent self-starter with proven ability to operate in a team environment, motivated to take action, and take ownership of the environment *Proven ability to work with ambiguous requirements. *Ability to be on call 24x7 on rotation schedule to include holidays and weekends *Incumbent must be available to troubleshoot incidences and resolve problems in a timely fashion which may require attendance during nontraditional work hours *Ability to work in a very complex network to include Dual DMZs, and multiple network zones. *Excellent communication skills and written skills *Excellent knowledge of networking and communication technologies. *Excellent communication, leadership, organization and team skills.
