Sr. Security Analyst Greensboro, NC 6-12Months Contract Job Description: Responsible for the planning, design, enforcement and audit of security policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements and acting on security violations. Maintains knowledge of changing technologies, and provides recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Provides management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer, or corporate security objectives. Evaluates and recommends security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Oversees security awareness programs and provides education on security policies and practices. Demonstrates specific technological expertise in at least one of the following areas: Envision or other SIEM products, Network/Host Intrusion Detection, web multi-factor technologies, server administration, or firewall administration. Skills Required: *Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience and 6+ years of information security experience. *Requires knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms. *Formal training or work experience in a variety of security tools (including network/host vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection and security analysis). *Formal training or work experience in architecting / implementing at least 2 of the following technical security areas (Firewall/VPN, Active Directory, UNIX). Expertise with SQL server, Windows scripting and/or RADIUS a major plus. *Working knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft operating systems and technologies, including an understanding of security and user administration in these environments. *Strong familiarity with security issues surrounding network computing (malware, DLP, intrusion detection etc); experience in implementation of security systems and controls. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls and Remote Access VPN solutions. Strong understanding of network security vulnerabilities and remediation.
