RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Support or lead design, estimation and planning tasks for the solution
using technical and functional expertise.
May be required to be hands-on developer for complex areas.
May be required to support and enhance existing client applications.
Manage projects, people, and scope and be responsible for quality for
your development track/team throughout the project life-cycle.
* REQUIREMENTS:*
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Significant hands-on experience in solution design, architectural
analysis within trading systems (or similar).
Good understanding of financial and energy trading markets, especially
front and mid office within at least one asset class or product type.
Significant knowledge of Java especially Multi-threading,
JSP/Servlets, Struts, JDBC, JMS, EJB, JAXB/JAXP and SWING.
Proficient in one or more software products/vendor solutions such as:
IBM WebSphere Platform, (Oracle) Weblogic Platform, iPlanet, TIBCO, IBM MQ,
Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA.
Excellent knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, JUnit and Ant.
Proficient in one or more Relational Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server,
Sybase.
Proficient in OOAD, UML, Design Patterns and Data Structures.
Excellent problem-solving skills
End-to-end experience in agile software development lifecycle.
Ability to influence and negotiate with clients and team members.
Project leadership skills including people management, scope and plan
management and tracking.
Ability to abstract detail into larger (repeatable) patterns,
familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques.
Openness to travel and work at client offices
