*Position: Sr Java Developer* *Location: Augusta, ME* *Duration: 7 Months Contract* *Qualifications:* *Requires Background check* *Need 2 Supervisor references with resume* *Responsibilities for JAVA Developer: * · 5-8+ years of Core Java development experience ; 3-5 + years of J2EE programming experience, including Servlets, JSP, Web services. · Strong knowledge of RDMS (Oracle 10g+); Experience designing and developing DB schemas for enterprise-level applications . Understanding of data structures and the ability to query data tables using SQL and PL/SQL · Work on product development through all phases of software development including design, implementation, and deployment. · Develop Java software modules using Java/J2EE and Database related technologies. Technical design and development of new enhancements. · Work closely with team leads to translate requirements into high-quality, timely deliverables. · Contribute as a strong hands-on technical member in project development activities. · Produce clean and unit-tested code. · Ability to study new technologies and bring fresh ideas that can benefit the project. · Perform code reviews within the team. · Mentor junior engineers and guide them with their assignments. *Required Skills* · Minimum of five years’ experience in Java/J2EE. · Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Core Java development experience; 3-5 years of J2EE programming experience, including Servlets, JSP, Web services · Minimum of three years’ experience building highly scalable, distributed systems. Experience with multi-threaded architectures, thread management, latency and throughput optimization. Experience with open-source frameworks. Spring and Hibernate experience a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). Leadership skills and solid team-player. · Minimum of three years’ experience in RDMS (Oracle 10g); experience designing and developing schemas for enterprise level applications; understanding of data structure and the ability to query data tables using SQL and PL/SQL. *Additional comments:* · Public Sector experience. · Health and Human Services experience. · Solid analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail . · Highly motivated, a Go-Getter who needs very little or no supervision. · Ability to quickly learn and stay current with new technologies . · Previous experience mentoring junior Team Members. · Track record of delivering quality products. *Required Qualifications:* · Java - J2EE · PL/SQL Development · Bachelor / Masters degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent experience considered) . · Core Java development experience ; J2EE programming experience, including Servlets, JSP, Web services · Extensive experience building highly scalable, distributed systems.
