This job requires strong communication skills (interpersonal, written and spoken), a compulsive respect for deadlines, creative imagination, serious technical chops, and an ability to roll with and contribute to a disciplined-but-entrepreneurial work environment. Future efforts include upgrading to Grails from Struts, aiming to be the first team to complete Agile re-certification, moving towards a self-service model to allow users to manage their own simulators and data (currently done by a client management team), and fully supporting RESTful by implementing JSON messages (currently only handle XML). * Well versed in agile methodology & XP development principals and techniques including test drive development, paired programming, continuous integration, JUnit, & incremental design * Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal) * Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned work * Detail-oriented and able to work independently and with a team * Web and User Interface experience - JavaScript, preferably using the Dojo toolkit, MVC design pattern using Struts, Grails, Groovy, HTML 5 * Java expert - Expert in Object Oriented Design (OOD), data modeling using hibernate ORM, software patterns * Working knowledge of version control systems (Git or SVN is preferred) * Can work in a structured development environment with build & configuration management tools (Maven2 & ant) * Knowledge of Webservices including WSDL, XSL, XML, XPath, SOAP *Let me know if needed any help from my end.
