For this opening, they are looking for a seasoned front-end UI developer to join their fast paced team. The incumbent will develop and deliver applications consistent with a mobile-first design approach. An ideal candidate should have familiarity with front-end Java capabilities along with HTML 5, as well as mobile development experience. Our client is looking for an individual who is both a self-starter and who is able to work autonomously. There will be leads on site for directional support and will also provide daily task allocation if needed. Training is provided onsite as required. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements, and desirability of Web sites Must have demonstrated skills in graphic applications such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS along with other tools applicable authoring tools, Web production, front-end development using programming and scripting languages Follows approved life cycle methodologies in order to create, design, document, and perform program coding and testing. Agile development experience is a plus. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation Collaborate with team members to ensure high level customer service is being achieved accordingly Must be able to perform usability tests, provide design prototypes and provide ad hoc user interface consulting. Responsible for requirements gathering and articulation of user interface issues--including Development of page/site prototypes. Must be able to integrate design into program rules and system architecture and create innovative approaches to improving the end-user experience. Must be familiar with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues. Ensure all deliverables are being met in a timely fashion and with high quality *Technical Requirements and Must-Haves:* 3-5 years of Java Development experience and must have strong front-end development experience Typically has 3 - 5 years of combined IT and graphic design experience. Able to understand HTML and strong working knowledge of Web generators and photographic libraries, HTML 5 experience is highly desirable Possesses a portfolio of Web sites or solutions Mobile development experience highly preferred JavaScipt exposure is extremely benefical Back-end Java development skills recommended as they have additional resources to support the back-end development Collaboration tools experience preferred such as WCF and TFS Clarity and Nimsoft tool experience, or related software, would be highly preferred as this individual will be interfacing with these tools *Other Required Skills:* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
