Title: Sr. .NET Developer
Location: Vinings, Ga
Duration: 6 months
The Senior .Net Developer provides technology leadership in the area of
custom .Net development. The Senior Software Developer will focus on
developing and delivering high quality enterprise applications, both as an
individual contributor and as a part of a development team. The Developer
is responsible for creating clear and maintainable designs and code as well
as reviewing the code and designs of team members and correcting if
necessary. The Senior Software Developer is expected to participate in
design and architecture discussions alongside a Technical Architect or
Technical Delivery Leader, and to actively participate in estimation, task
definition, implementation efforts and status updates. He/she is also
expected to shepherd code that has been developed through the development
process and lead the efforts of planning / migrating the code into
production systems efficiently. The Senior Software Developer will be
leading or participating in on-site project teams. This role requires
excellent hands-on technical skills in .Net architecture and development.
This role will work closely with key departmental, management and project
stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work
collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff
within the organization is a key priority in this role.
*Qualifications: *
- BS or BA degree in a related field required, unless there is
significant, relevant work experience
- Full understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
- Full understanding of JasperReports or SQL Server Reporting Services
- Strong background in full lifecycle development using multiple
platforms or languages
- Ability to interact with Management and Software Developers.
- Hands-on skills in .Net architecture and development.
- Ability to interact at a technical and non-technical level with
Infrastructure, Network, Development, BA and QA teams.
- Minimum of seven years in developing .Net applications.
- Experience in designing and developing software products.
- Solid understanding and hands-on skills in .Net architecture and
design patterns.
- Solid understanding and hands-on skills with JasperReports version 3.X
and 4.X.
- Experience with advanced OOA/OOD techniques to design enterprise
applications leveraging industry best practices.
- Experience in UML modeling and use case driven development
- Experience in current versions of SQL Server.
- Experience with XML related technologies including XSLT and SOAP.
- Good understanding and experience in relational databases (Sybase,
Oracle or SQL Server)
- Experience in integrating .Net applications with legacy systems.
- Knowledge of popular open source frameworks
- Experience in security systems and frameworks (JAAS, LDAP)
- Full understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services
- Strong background in full lifecycle development using multiple
platforms or languages
- Familiarity with internet protocols such as HTTP, SOAP , XML over
http/https
- System architecture and development experience in a high transaction /
high availability systems Excellent communication skills (both verbal and
written), including facilitation and team leadership skills Must be
comfortable working in ambiguous and/or stressful situations
- Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance
- Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to
handle multiple tasks
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Microsoft certification is desirable.
*Responsibilities:*
- Design, develop and maintain JasperReport based solutions for POS and
Backoffice systems.
- Work with project managers and business analysts to develop and
clarify in-depth technical requirements.
- Work with architects to establish technical soundness of the solutions
