WAS (Websphere Application Server) Engineer Lincolnshire IL 6+ month Contract *WebArch – Sr. Engineer* Under general direction, formulates and defines specifications for complex systems, which may include engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Designs, implements or installs, maintains and administers infrastructures including complex hardware, software and configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tunes, accordingly. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. May have sole responsibility for projects. May provide guidance and oversight to more junior engineers. Knowledgeable of one or more technologies, products or applications. Provide 3L engineering design and support Web infrastructure for Websphere Administration server. Support WAS v6.1 and v8.5 Will build and configure new environments as needed. Provide support for http servers – IHS and Apache. Supports upgrade to WAS v8.5 Engineering and administration expertise with WAS, Apache. Engineering and administration expertise with BPM, ODM, BAM and CPLEX is highly desirable.
