The architect will document application tradeoffs, designs and perform costs analysis of design options. In addition to operational and architectural responsibilities, this architect actively participates in developing the operational models, processes, and procedures that will be utilized for internal and external cloud hosting, including automated deployment, configuration, and monitoring self-service tools. The Architect will be working with the development team to develop tools and solutions for the proposed architecture. Basic Qualifications: • Experience in Cloud, Service Provider, or Enterprise Network Environments • In depth understanding of SNMP, SYSLOG, sflow, and monitoring off the shelf monitoring software solutions • Experience with configuration management of disparate network systems • Experience managing people and multi discipline teams • Strong communicator & team builder • Self-starter who is results oriented • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS), related degree or equivalent work experience Skills & Experience: • 6+ years in an enterprise class IT or managed service organization • Able to work collaboratively with application architects, developers, database administrators, and system and network engineers to develop cloud application architecture solutions. • 3+ years experience with VMWare products such as Hyperic, vCOPs, vCenter, ESX, vShield • 3+ years experience working with x86 server platforms • 3+ years technical experience with network management systems and routing from a monitoring perspective • 3+ years administration Active Directory • 3+ years administration service desk applications: SerivceNow, HP ServiceDesk, Remedy • 3+ years experience with enterprise class management applications such as EMC SMARTs, Watch4net, HP Openview, or SCOM/SCCM, • 3+ years experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Zenoss, Cacti, Open View or Nagios • Experience with hands-on knowledge of Amazon Web Services services including EC2, EBS, S3, ELB RDS, availability zones and regions will be a plus. • Experience with hands-on knowledge of the VMware product line cloud related solutions such as vCloud Director, vSphere, vCenter, vCenter Orchestrator and vCenter Operations Suite will be plus. • Experience with log aggregation tools such as Strata or Splunk • Strong working knowledge of PERL, PowerShell, SHELL scripting and SNMP v1, v2c v3, SNMP • MIBs, Event Definition, Trap Manipulation • Broad working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms • Utilize Puppet, Jenkins, Chef, scripting languages, automation tools, monitoring tools, etc. • Experience with implementing monitoring tools such as Nagios, Graphite, Zabbix, etc. • Ability to analyze requirements delivered by system and application administrators and develop a management strategy • Ability to mine performance and capacity data from various sources and formulate valuable analysis • Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands • Industry certifications preferred: VPC, SCSA, RHCE, etc. • Hands on experience, training or certification focused on networking or storage networking • Advanced technical knowledge of server hardware, operating systems and applications • Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills • Familiar with fundamentals of ITIL framework v3 Thanks & Regards, Prasad Mamidela | Technical Recruiter | Cigniti Inc.
