Production support responsibilities include maximizing system availability, optimizing database and availability through ongoing maintenance, and ensure conformance to audit and operating standards. Provide instruction and support to junior team members. Provide technical support to developers. Integration of new capabilities into existing systems. Uphold enterprise and department guidelines and policies. Recommend and promote improvements to existing policy and procedure. Provide status reporting to management. *Job Qualifications* Degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology profession. 3+ years of experience working with *DBMS*. 2+ years of *Teradata* *DBA* experience. Demonstrated complex analytical problem solving skills. Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to influence technical solutions in a technical forum. Broad knowledge of relational database technologies. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience with using the following Teradata Utilities: *Bteq*, *multiload*, *fastload*, *fastexport*, *Tpump*, *TPT*, *TD* *explain* *utility*, *visual* *explain*, *TSET,* *TD* *Index* *Wizard*, *TD* *Statistics* *Wizard*, *ViewPoint*, and *SQL* Assistant.
