*Role responsibilities & required skills: *





Senior engineering position responsible for customer-facing web/mobile
application performance engineering, performance testing, and tuning;
application and database profiling, application performance management and
monitoring, capacity modeling, working with agile development teams to
document and implement non-functional requirements, helping diagnose
complex performance issues with problem analysis and breakdown, degradation
culprit identification through research, and tuning remediation.



Will also be responsible for providing leadership to remediate advanced
technical engineering issues related to poor end-user application
performance.



*Must have strong understanding of digital customer-facing application
architectures, caching and database architectures, web servers, Linux
operating system, and sound knowledge of storage and network fundamentals
on Cloud-based environments (AWS, Rackspace, etc.). *



*Must have experience in using application/user profiling tools to
breakdown complex performance issues, experience with Load testing tools
(both on-premise and cloud) such as HP Performance Center, work-load
profiling, scenario designing, negative scenario testing, auto-scalability
testing, and performance reporting.*



*Folks who have diagnostics and tuning experience – people with a strong
software engineering foundation. *

*Strong development backgrounds who have spent some part of their careers
in high performing/resilient apps, high throughput apps,
distributed/scalable apps, with emphasis on performance and scalability
validation. *

*Performance Testing is just one aspect of this role.*
